Mr. Tuchscher founded his organization in 1997 comprised of principal partners with vast Real Estate Development experience including; master planned projects in major markets throughout the Southwestern United States and Mexico. Mr. Tuchscher’s projects have been comprised of hotels, resorts, residential subdivisions, commercial R&D/office buildings, entertainment retail centers, golf courses, and recreational amenities. Past projects have a total build-out value at more than $4.8 billion. Notable project involvement has included redevelopment and expansion of The Kona Kai Resort & Marina, The Otay Ranch; a mixed use master plan totaling 1,061 acres, The Pointe in Rancho San Diego (940 acres), Crystal Bay; a $600 million, 4 million square foot, mixed-use project located on San Diego Bay, Escena Golf Community in Palm Springs; consisting of 1505 homes, 27 holes of golf, and 550 hotel rooms, and Spyglass Ranch; a 1500 home project located in Southern California’s Inland Empire. As well as projects in Mexico such as; Playacar, Nuevo Vallarta, Marina Mazatlan and others. In 2003 Coda led the acquisition of a full city block in downtown San Diego and the redevelopment of the historic U.S. Grant Hotel creating one of the first 'Starwood Luxury Collection' Hotels. In 2005 Coda acquired an interest in RollingStone, controlling rights to the brand and trademarks. Among other things Coda began work on the “RollingStone Hotel & Casino” in Las Vegas and a series of “RollingStone Hotels” comprised of hotel, casino, retail, restaurant, and nightclub components. In 2008 Mr. Tuchscher became involved with Aurora Films on a movie project called “Another Harvest Moon”. The film stars Academy Award winner Ernest Borgnine, Cybill Shepard, Anne Meara, Piper Laurie, Richard Schiff, and Dorris Roberts. The film received numerous film festival awards. In 2009, Coda joined a group to create RockDome; a new large-scale, multi-media live concert venue concept. Partners include members of rock band Linkin Park, notable music executives, and famed director/producer McG (Charlie’s Angels, Terminator 4, The O.C., etc.). In 2010 Mr. Tuchscher created the first Facebook monetization company. That company REDfoot Social, has been rebranded as SempreSocial. In 2013 Coda sold RollingStone intellectual property to Wenner Media. Tuchscher's other business interests include numerous technology ventures, e-commece companies, and a digital music company. 

In addition to his business endeavors, Tuchscher has served on the Board of Directors of the University of San Diego Real Estate Institute, 3 years as District Chairman of Urban Land Institute (a Washington based think tank with 16,000 members), two-terms as Chairman of the City Planning Commission, and two-terms as Chairman of the City Economic Development Commission. Mr. Tuchscher has been very active with philanthropy including: YMCA, Red Cross, Rock-to-Stop Violence, Apl.de.ap Foundation (Black Eyed Peas), I.am.Angel (Will.i.am), Little Kids Rock, Stuart House (John Varvatos), Minot Rising (Josh Duhamel), and others. He has also been a featured speaker, moderator, and panelist at more than 50 events, seminars, and conferences. Personally, Tuchscher is an accomplished surfer, yachtsman, and a dedicated father.
